English to me??
English is just a communicator and a language to me that we will surely use in our daily lifes. To me, English plays a big part of my life as i dislike Chinese. Without English in singapore, how can Eurasians visit us? How will they communicate with us? Sign languages? Without understanding english and its appropriate use, we will not be able to do our examinations papers (except for Chinese). Learning English by holding the dictionary in your hands is surely not going to work. However, applying it is the right way. By applying it , learning English is just like a breeze. If u excel in Chinese, u should therefore excel in English too. The existence of English will only be important to Eurasians as they do not have any language to replace it (unless they learn other languages). To us, Chinese can just replace English at any moment.
